Once upon a time, Beachcomber…
Once upon a time, the Mauritian tourism industry…
In 1952, the leader and pioneer of tourism in Mauritius, Beachcomber opened its first hotel named Park Hotel in Curepipe.
Sixty years later, the 100% Mauritian-owned group owns, manages and markets eight properties ranging from four-star resorts to a luxury boutique hotel in Mauritius as well as a prestigious resort on the private island of Sainte Anne in the Seychelles. A luxury hotel and residential estate are also currently under construction in Marrakech.
Almost 5,000 people work every day towards making dreams come true…
This blog was created to share some of the group’s historic photos and videos. We also wanted to introduce some of the group’s most long-serving employees, who, thanks to their dedication and loyalty have contributed to the development of tourism in the country.
From the founding of the Mauritian tourism industry to the opening of the Royal Palm and recent renovation of the Trou aux Biches, we present you with a journey of life stories filled with hard work, courage, anecdotes, souvenirs and sunshine.
Welcome to the Beachcomber family! Discover the group’s unique history…
